Richland County residents are invited to attend a free hurricane preparedness workshop led by County staff. Participants will learn how to develop a disaster plan, what to include in an emergency supply kit and who to call for help. Chief Meteorologist and Emergency Planner Ken Aucoin and Emergency Planners Sharon Long and Ben Marosites will lead the workshop.
Residents also will have an opportunity to tour the County's Emergency Operations Center. Each attendee will receive an emergency readiness brochure and a few lucky residents will receive a free weather radio. Email pio@richlandcountysc.gov to reserve a spot and to receive additional information.
