(Richland PIO) – With the threat of inclement weather in the area Friday, Jan. 10, Richland County Government is encouraging residents to plan ahead and exercise caution.
A wintry mix is expected to affect the County beginning midday Friday. A half inch of accumulated sleet, light rain and snow is forecasted for areas south of I-20 and an inch forecasted for north of I-20, according to Ken Aucoin, the County’s emergency planner and chief meteorologist.
Drivers should anticipate hazardous travel, with slick, icy roads and walkways from noon Friday until Saturday morning. Black ice is possible into Sunday morning.
