Report of Actions

Call To Order - Joe McEachern, Committee Chair, called the meeting to order at 4:40.

Approval of Minutes - The minutes of the May 22, 2001 Regular Session Meeting were approved as submitted.

Adoption of Agenda - The agenda was adopted as submitted.

I. Items for Action

A. Procurement: Contract Renewals - The Committee unanimously recommended Council approve the contract renewals for various services in the 2001-2002 fiscal year. The Committee also directed staff to specify what is included in the different contracts regarding "Engineering Services."

B. Detention Center: Engineering Design and Construction Contract - The Committee unanimously recommended Council authorize staff to negotiate and enter into a contract for the engineering design and construction for the expansion of the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center with CGA Facilities and Service Incorporation, for the approximate amount of $652,397.00.

C. Columbia Museum of Art: Budget Transfer - The Committee unanimously recommended Council authorize the transfer of $37,500, from funds previously designated for the Salvation Army, to assist the Columbia Museum of Art in providing the "free Saturdays" program to Richland County residents and thereby assist the Columbia Museum of Art in meeting their budget shortfall.
