Inspectors in the Land Development Division are assigned primary areas to conduct inspections. The inspectors are on-call for contractors who need follow-up inspections, road inspections (proof-rolls), and final inspections. The inspectors are:

Inspections are conducted in some incorporated areas through intergovernmental agreements. These areas are as follows: City of Forest Acres / Town of Irmo / Town of Blythewood. 

The County is divided in four (4) sections for efficiency: Northwest / North Central / Northeast / Southeast. Boundary lines are subject to change and there may be additional areas added as development increases.
