Probate Court Divisions
Oversees the administration of estates in Richland County. Probate Administration is necessary to transfer assets from the Decedent to the proper heirs or beneficiaries.
Oversees the court appointed Guardian to ensure that the incapacitated adult is being taken care of. This could include medical needs, rehabilitation needs, and assistance with daily living needs. Oversees the court appointed Conservator to ensure that the assets of the incapacitated adult or minor are being managed well.
The Richland County Probate Court maintains estate records from 1900 through today. We maintain marriage license records for marriages applied for in Richland County from 1911 through today. These records are available to the public for viewing and copying.

Once you have submitted the required documentation and paid the required fee, please note there are no refunds.
