Kirstin Bullington, a Next Energy engineering instructor at Richland Two Institute of Innovation (R2i2), is the state’s Conservation Teacher of the Year (Secondary) for 2023.
The Agritourism Intern will assist the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District with the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the Richland County Ag + Art Tour. The Intern will work approximately 20 hours/week from May 15 through August 15, 2024. Students at four Richland County schools will receive hands-on environmental education this school year, thanks to financial support provided by the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (RSWCD).
Richland County and the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District will hold an Arbor Day Celebration at Watkins-Nance Elementary School in Columbia on Friday, Dec. 1. Five classes will take part in an official tree planting that morning.
