Over the years Richland County's Neighborhood Planning Conference has woven environmental and smart growth principals into its educational sessions, from keynote speakers such as Joe, Minicozzi, Mitch Silver, and Ellen Dunham- Jones. This year we had another great line up of presentations.

Jane Hiller from SONOCO Recycling gave practical advice on ways to increase recycling efforts, and learn how recycling creates jobs in Richland County and statewide.
A mobile workshop featured Councilman Torrey Rush on a tour of the County’s newest park project, Crane Creek Trail Park..
Lauren Robinson from Keep the Midlands Beautiful offered advice on beautifying our community and the resources the organization provides to help neighborhood groups keep our community clean.
