Richland County Staff facilitate LEED Building Tour at the
Darla Moore School of Business. Over 55 attendees learned about the green
attributes of the facility that is striving for a LEED Platinum design rating.
The living roof system drains the storm water into a cistern that is
filtered and used to water the grounds and flush toilets, the landscape is
designed to reduce the heat island effect, natural daylighting reduces the need
for artificial lighting, and energy efficient lighting reduces the power
load. The business school continues to track energy data and
improve performance.
