Re-Soil is S.C.'s newest permitted composting facility located in
the Midlands area. Founded by Anthony Centola, Re-Soil is an indoor
commercial composting facility occupying a 9,600 square foot building on 3
acres of land in Elgin, SC. Below is a snapshot of Re-Soil's operations:
- Re-Soil's operation is currently permitted to
handle 792 tons of organics.
- Re-Soil partners with service providers such as Waste
Management, SMART Recycling of South Carolina, and Junk Matters, LLC to
haul compostables to its facility (Re-Soil does not provide hauling
itself).
- The company can accept any type of source separated
food waste and organics except for raw meats, manure, sludge, or fats,
oils and greases.
Re-Soil is located across from the Waste Management Landfill in
Elgin, SC, so organics waste haulers will be familiar with the location and
hauling logistics for the Columbia area.
