Mission Statement:
Richland County Public Works GIS works with the Divisions of Public Works for their individual GIS and Mapping needs. DPW-GIS is supported by, and works in conjunction with IT-GIS.

Data managed by Public Works: Road maintenance / ownership, Right of Way, road attributes and features such as speed humps, sidewalks, road signs managed by Richland County and Stormwater Infrastructure (pipes, channels/ditches, culverts, inlet and outlet structures, manholes and junction boxes, detention and retention ponds).
Data is collected and managed using aerial photography or GPS collection in the field. Digital submittals from new development provide locations for new infrastructure.
