Richland County Councilwoman Gretchen Barron, District 7, will hold a virtual meeting Thursday, Feb. 25 to discuss a Wilson Boulevard rezoning request. The meeting aims to provide information on the project proposed for the property.
The 308.24 acre site, bordered by Wilson Boulevard and Nina Lee Drive, is currently zoned as Planned Development District (PDD). The zoning request seeks to change the designation to Residential, Single-Family, Estate District (RS-E).
The RS-E District is intended for single-family, detached dwelling units on large “estate” lots. This district is designed to provide a low- to medium-density rural setting for residential development in areas that separate more urban communities from the truly rural portions of Richland County.
During the virtual meeting, Councilwoman Barron will be joined by the developer, Bryan De Bruin, who will give an overview of the proposed development and answer residents' questions.
The meeting will stream live at 6 p.m. via the County's Facebook page and YouTube channel.
