What: Richland Recycles Day
When: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, May 14
Where: South Carolina State Fairgrounds, 1200 Rosewood Dr., Columbia
Residents can drop off a variety of household items for Richland Recycles Day at the S.C. State Fairgrounds.
Materials accepted at this event:
- Electronics (e.g. computers, printers, televisions, telephones)
- Scrap metal (e.g. appliances, bicycles, metal chairs, metal shelving, lawn mowers with no gasoline or oil)
- Tires (e.g. car, light truck, motorcycle)
- Household hazardous waste (e.g., paints, stains, sealers, solvents, household cleaners, household chemicals, pool chemicals, herbicides, pesticides, acids, bases, mercury, fire extinguishers, propane tanks)
- Paper to shred (limit five boxes or bags per household)
This event is open to Richland County residents only (ID required). No commercial businesses.
