Richland County Transportation welcomes residents to a public information meeting for the proposed Broad River Road widening project. This informal meeting offers a chance to speak with project staff and view project information. Residents will also have a chance to review and comment on the proposed project improvements.

Richland County is proposing to widen Broad River Road from near Royal Tower Drive to near Dutch Fork Road in Irmo. This section of roadway would expand from two lanes to five lanes (four travel lanes and a center turn lane). In addition, drainage and intersection improvements are proposed throughout the project corridor. The project aims to reduce traffic congestion through the Broad River Road corridor.
