Where: Richland County Administration Building (2nd-floor Council Chambers), 2020 Hampton St., Columbia
This event will be a joint public hearing pursuant to S.C. Code Ann § 4-37-30(A)(2) relating to the referendum to be held at the general election on Nov. 5, 2024, on the question of the imposition of a special sales and use tax to fund certain transportation needs of Richland County.
If passed, this referendum would authorize a 1 percent transportation sales and use tax.
Residents are welcome to comment in person at the public hearing by signing up in Council Chambers beforehand. Please arrive a few minutes before the meeting begins, as sign-in sheets will be removed at 3:30 p.m.
If unable to attend the public hearing in person, residents can send comments in advance by emailing the Clerk of Council. Please include your name, physical address and email address.
