Richland County’s Department of Budget and Grants Management will host two information and training sessions for organizations interested in applying for FY26 grant programs. The workshops are designed to give participants the essential skills and strategies needed for the upcoming FY26 grant process. Both workshops will cover the same material.
The Accommodations Tax and Hospitality Tax grants provide financial support to nonprofit organizations and groups that fund tourism and tourism-related projects and events.
Pending budget approval, County Council has set aside up to $1,764,000 as Community Impact Grant (CIG) funding for FY26. Up to 60 percent of this funding will be allocated to community partners; up to 40 percent will be allocated for competitive grants.
Attend either workshop to learn:
- Eligibility requirements for each grant program, including those for Community Impact, Accommodations and Hospitality Taxes
- Details on the County's application process
- Best practices for crafting a solid proposal budget
- Reporting requirements, timelines and more
Applications for each program will open in ZoomGrants on Monday, Dec. 2. The County will release more details about the formal application period.
