Richland County Transportation will host a public meeting Wednesday, May 26 to review two Penny Projects in the Blythewood Road area.
Transportation is proposing sidewalks and bike lanes for McNulty Street, between Blythewood Road and Main Street. Other upgrades, proposed for Creech Road, include a shared-use path and an approximately 0.3-mile extension southeast to Main Street.
The meeting, set for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Doko Manor, 100 Alvina Hagood Circle, Blythewood, will be in an open-house format. Residents are encouraged to drop in at their convenience to view maps and drawings of the proposed improvements and to discuss the projects with project managers and the design team. Social-distancing measures will remain in effect.
“I am extremely excited to see these Penny Projects begin in the Town of Blythewood,” said Councilman Derrek Pugh, District 2. “The upcoming public hearing will give our community members insight into the projected outcomes of these projects.”
In addition to giving feedback during the meeting, residents can submit written comments from May 26 through June 10 via:
