(Richland PIO) – The latest weather advisory for Richland County calls for temperatures to remain low throughout Wednesday, Jan. 22, making roads hazardous for travel, especially in rural areas. For these reasons, Richland County Government offices and facilities will remain closed Wednesday for normal operations.
The County will monitor weather updates throughout the day and reassess the status of operations before Thursday, Jan. 23.
Richland County Solid Waste and Recycling facilities, including the Clemson Road Drop-off Recycling Site, Lower Richland Drop-off Center and C&D Landfill, will remain closed Wednesday. Curbside solid waste collection scheduled for Wednesday will be delayed a day, and residents should expect delays in curbside collection through the weekend. Residents should leave their carts at curbside.
The County’s Jim Hamilton-L.B. Owens Airport terminal and fixed base operator services are closed, pending weather and airfield conditions.
While offices are closed, residents are encouraged to access services on Richland County’s website: www.richlandcountysc.gov.
