Richland County’s Business Service Center has been proudly highlighted in the National Association of Counties Newspaper. An article reported the outcome of Pam Davis’ ingenious way to bring more revenue to the county. Davis, director of the county’s business service center, has used her knowledge and creativity to bring a surplus in her personnel budget. For $10,000 dollars, the director of the Business Service Center was able to hire ten (10) temp inspectors who conducted 2,000 inspections in a three-week period. The county collected more than $330,000 dollars in fines.
