On Tuesday, February 5th, Richland County and the developer of the Spring Valley Subdivision, Mr. Edwin Cooper, finalized a land conservation agreement. This agreement will ensure the protection of about 24 acres of land, including wetlands, sandhills, pine, and hardwood forests, from further development. Protecting the land will provide more green space and the enhancement of water quality in Little Jackson Creek. The honorable Councilman Jim Manning, whose district includes the Spring Valley Subdivision, was among those who participated in the ceremony.
