Richland County residents, businesses and other stakeholders have a new resource to contact the County for flood-related issues.
An email account, Recovery@rcgov.us, has been established specifically for flood matters. The public is urged to send requests for assistance for unmet needs, ask questions or request other information related to the flood.
The County’s recovery email account is part of the County’s outreach efforts to ensure residents have an opportunity to communicate their concerns during the flood recovery process. The account will be monitored by staffers who will document the messages and direct them to the appropriate departments to respond.
For flood victims who lack access to email, County officials encourage the use of South Carolina 2-1-1 Information and Referral, a service of the United Way Association of South Carolina.
Victims of the October 2015 flood may dial 2-1-1 and get their information entered into the disaster case management coordinated system. Callers will be asked to select a language and then should select option “7” when prompted to get connected to an intake specialist.
Richland County residents also may call the County Ombudsman’s Office at 803-929-6000 to submit flood-related service requests.
