With ongoing inclement weather in the area, Richland County Government is altering schedules for its facilities.

With the threat of inclement weather in the area Friday, Jan. 10, Richland County Government is encouraging residents to plan ahead and exercise caution.

Richland County is streamlining its communications process with the launch of a dedicated email address for time-sensitive media inquiries. Effective immediately, all media outlets are encouraged to send urgent requests to media@richlandcountysc.gov.

Richland County officially welcomed two new Councilmembers into office Thursday and swore in four others who were re-elected in the November election.

County Government offices will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day.
