Richland County Government offices will close for normal operations at noon, Tuesday, Jan. 21st due to reports of potential snow in the area.

Residents are encouraged to exercise caution as this weather has the potential to create hazardous travel conditions.

All County Solid Waste and Recycling facilities will close at noon on Tuesday. Residents should expect a 1-2-day delay in curbside collection. Carts should be left at curbside until emptied.

Richland County Government facilities will operate on altered schedules Monday, Jan. 20 as the County observes Martin Luther King Jr. Day. County Government offices will be closed Monday and reopen Tuesday, Jan. 21.

"Richland County disagrees with the conclusion of the report the Department of Justice released today and strongly believes we provide constitutional protections for individuals housed at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center."
