Richland County’s investigation into inappropriate social media posts by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) employees concluded Monday with the termination of two staffers and the resignation of another, following the discharge of a senior paramedic last week.

Richland County’s Blue Ribbon Committee has scheduled its next five meetings for discussing flood recovery initiatives and making recommendations on behalf of those affected by the October 2015 flood.

Following a series of meetings with the general public on flood recovery funding, Richland County officials will seek input from the local business community on how to spend the $23.5 million federal grant awarded to the County this year.

After completing an investigation that revealed a violation of personnel policies and “erosion of public trust,” Richland County terminated a senior paramedic Wednesday.
