Richland County has postponed a Town Hall Meeting for Districts 8 and 9 scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, March 31 at North Springs Park Gym, 1320 Clemson Road, Columbia, because of the threat of severe weather in the area.

In an effort to help simplify the payment process for taxpayers, Richland County offers a one-of-a-kind planned payment program for real estate taxes. Today, the County Treasurer’s Office announces a new web-based service that makes the planned payment program even easier to use.

Richland County residents can take active roles in their local government by applying to serve on one of several boards, committees and panels.

The Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (RSWCD) is once again offering warm-season vegetable, herb and wildflower seeds to Richland County residents at no cost through its Seed Sanctuary program.

Richland County Council Chairwoman Jesica Mackey has been appointed to serve on the board of directors for the South Carolina Association of Counties (SCAC).
