Richland County is moving into the second phase of “Reimagine Richland,” the 10-year update of the County’s Comprehensive Plan.

For National Community Development Week (April 21-25), Richland County’s Community Development Division has organized a diverse lineup of events to showcase how federally funded programs make a positive difference in the lives of low- and moderate-income families.

Richland County Government facilities will close for business Friday, April 18 in observance of Good Friday. County Government offices will reopen for normal business on Monday, April 21.

Students at three Richland County schools will engage in hands-on environmental learning this school year, thanks to financial support from the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District.

Richland County has postponed a Town Hall Meeting for Districts 8 and 9 scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, March 31 at North Springs Park Gym, 1320 Clemson Road, Columbia, because of the threat of severe weather in the area.
