Voting will soon be underway in South Carolina to nominate presidential candidates for the 2024 general election.

Beginning Monday, Jan. 15, the Hardscrabble Road entrance to The Shores at Elders Pond apartment complex in Columbia will be temporarily closed.

At approximately 9:20 a.m. Saturday, the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center (ASGDC) director received notification that the detainee who escaped the custody of Bryan Psychiatric Hospital had been successfully recovered by the Columbia Police Department and is now back in custody.
