Larger office space, high-efficiency lighting and system upgrades are part of a series of renovations set to take place at a Richland County-maintained facility.

Richland County Government offices will close Monday, Sept. 5 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Richland County is planning upgrades to its wastewater treatment facility serving customers in the northwest area to improve system operations and help maintain the water quality in the Broad River.

Residents can now review and offer comments about the action plan that details how $23.5 million in federal funding will help Richland County continue with flood recovery efforts.

While no cases of locally transmitted Zika virus have been reported in Richland County, officials from several County departments are cohesively developing a response plan should the virus arrive.
