Richland County officials are working with a disaster recovery contractor, Tetra Tech, to offer assistance to residents whose wells may have been contaminated in the October flood.

Richland County Solid Waste & Recycling has a new trash collector servicing customers near Fort Jackson.

Rain and mist have led to reduced visibility the last several days, forcing delays to the aerial mosquito treatment spray mission planned for the Lower Richland area this week. 

Residents affected by October’s devastating flooding can receive first-hand information about flood repairs, insurance, floodplain maps and more at a series of Flood Recovery Open Houses. 

Richland County officials urge residents to bring flood-related debris curbside before Monday, Nov. 16 – the date final pickup begins.
