Richland County Government offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 1 as the County observes New Year’s Day.

County Government offices will be closed Dec. 22 to Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas.

Richland County Administration has not yet received the report on Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center from the S.C. Department of Corrections (SCDC), despite its circulation in the media.

Early voting for the Jan. 2 special election for State Senate District 19 opened Monday, Dec. 18 and runs through Friday, Dec. 29.

One of the area’s happiest holiday traditions continued Wednesday, as Richland County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) staff delivered toys, clothing and other items donated to benefit Richland County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
