After administering vaccines to more than 20,000 people during a nearly two-month run, the federally funded community vaccination center at Richland County-owned Columbia Place Mall officially closed to walk-ins this week.

Intertape Polymer Group Inc. (IPG), a packaging and protective solutions company that supplies to resellers and a diverse group of commercial end users, today announced plans to expand operations in Richland County. The investment of more than $20 million is expected to create approximately 135 new jobs over the next five years.

Mark Anthony Brewing, the fourth-largest brewery in the United States, is nearing completion of a new $400 million state-of-the-art brewing and production facility at Pineview Industrial Park in Columbia. The company is hosting a series of “Meet Mark Anthony” informational webinars to help individuals learn more about the career opportunities available and how they can build a progressive career with the brewery.

Richland County residents will soon have a second opportunity to give feedback on the County’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Twenty-two students will receive awards in this year’s Youth Conservation Poster Contest sponsored by the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD).
