Renters in Richland County who lost income because of COVID-19 need to know two things: financial help is available to help pay rent and utilities and the money doesn’t have to be repaid.

Richland County Councilmembers Gretchen Barron, Jesica Mackey, Derrek Pugh and Overture Walker are partnering with statewide elected officials to hold three vaccine clinics later this month in Northeast Richland.

Residents can now receive COVID-19 vaccinations at the Columbia Place Mall, where a portion of the facility owned by Richland County has been transformed into a federally supported community vaccination center.

Richland County Councilwoman Chakisse Newton and S.C. House Rep. Jermaine Johnson are teaming up to lead residents in a cleanup event Saturday, April 17 in Lower Richland.
