As of 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, Richland County has not experienced any major disruptions as Tropical Storm Debby continues to dump heavy rains across the County, elevating the risk for flash flooding.
The County will be closed to the public on Thursday, Aug. 8. The County is expected to resume normal operating hours on Friday, Aug. 9.
Residents should avoid the following areas until further notice: Circle Dr., Eastover, William Janie Simms Cir., Gadsden, and Conn St., Columbia.
Richland County Government is reporting some areas of flooding because of heavy rains from Tropical Storm Debby.
Richland County Government continues to monitor Tropical Storm Debby as significant rainfall from the storm impacts the Midlands. As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, there are no reports of major damage in the County.
