Register now for the Project Learning Tree PreK-8 environmental education curriculum training at Benedict College on Saturday, March 28, 2015.  The workshop is free to college students with a student ID and $20 for all others. 

Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (District) Commissioner Kenny Mullis has been named SC’s Commissioner of the Year by the SC Association of Conservation Districts (SCACD).

Brooke Broadway Scott has been named the SC 2015 K-6^th Grade Conservation Teacher of the Year by the SC Association of Conservation Districts (SCACD).  She was nominated for this award by the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (RSWCD), which recognized her as Richland County’s Conservation Teacher of the Year in 2014.

A joint Project WET/Project Learning Tree workshop will be held at Harbison State Forest on March 31, 2015.  This workshop will allow teachers and environmental educators to gain certifications in both K-8 curricula. 

Ella Grace Comer, age 10, has been named the State Winner in the SC Association of Conservation Districts’ Conservation Poster Contest in the 2^nd-3^rd Grade category.
