Four students have been named winners in Richland County’s 2014 Conservation Poster Contest, "Dig Deeper: Mysteries in the Soil." 

The Richland SWCD will co-sponsor a Pollinator Conservation Short Course in Columbia on June 4, 2014.  **This course is now full.  Please email shortcourses@xerces.org to be added to the waitlist.**

Rose Tindall, Principal of St. Joseph Catholic School, has been named Richland County’s 2014 Conservation Principal of the Year by the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District.

Brooke Scott, a 4^th grade teacher at Sandlapper Elementary School, has been named Richland County’s Conservation Teacher of the Year for 2014 by the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD).

A farm project involving Richland County’s Conservation Department sprouted national attention recently from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
