Curbside trash collection in unincorporated areas of Richland County will be modified during the COVID-19 health crisis to focus on household garbage and recycling, as yard waste and bulk item pickup will be suspended until further notice.

Beginning Wednesday, Richland County Administrator Leonardo Brown will hold a daily informational briefing with County Council by phone to update members on the County’s continuing efforts to address the effects of COVID-19 in our community.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest federal disaster loans to South Carolina small businesses suffering substantial financial losses as a result of COVID-19, or coronavirus.

Because of staff restrictions experienced by Richland County’s contracted trash haulers, residents might see delays in curbside pickup of garbage and yard waste.
