To help protect and preserve Richland County’s rich land and historic places, Richland County Conservation Commission is accepting applications for its Historic Preservation and Community Conservation grants.

Earlier this week, Richland County was updated from “abnormally dry” to “incipient drought” status by the South Carolina State Climatology Office due to the continuing lack of rainfall across the Midlands since Tropical Storm Irma affected the area Sept. 11-12.
Richland County Government offices will close Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24 in observance of Thanksgiving.
