In the midst of the cold and flu season, Richland County is offering residents a chance to learn about health and wellness services available throughout the County.

Commissioners, staff and partners of the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (RSWCD) bid farewell to a longtime RSWCD commissioner earlier this week, as his successor was sworn into office.

Richland County Government offices will close Monday, Jan. 16 to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

On Tuesday, Richland County officially swore in five Councilmembers, including newcomers Jason Branham (District 1) and Don Weaver (District 6). County Council also re-elected Councilman Overture Walker as chair and Councilwoman Jesica Mackey as vice chair.

The Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (RSWCD) is offering incentives to boost participation in the S.C. Envirothon, a statewide natural resources competition for high school students.
