The Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (RSWCD) is spotlighting two local high school students for their dedication to water quality monitoring and awareness.

While Richland County will no longer enforce its emergency ordinance requiring face coverings in most school buildings and day cares after a ruling by the S.C. Supreme Court, County Council continues to strongly encourage children and school staff to wear masks.

Metso Outotec, a global manufacturer of mining and aggregates equipment, parts and services, will invest $3 million to relocate within Richland County.

Richland County offices will close Monday, Sept. 6, in observance of Labor Day.

An upcoming in-person, drop-in meeting will give District 2 residents the opportunity to discuss recently updated land development rules with County staff and ask questions.
