Richland County is reopening a program aimed at improving business facades along Broad River Road.

Work on a sidewalk project that was inspired by input from Northeast Richland residents is set to begin Monday, April 12.

Irmo-based Integrated Micro-Chromatography Systems Inc. (IMCS) will expand its operations in Richland County, investing $4.1 million and creating 31 new jobs over the next five years.

For Northeast Richland residents, the end of the planning process for the Sandhills community is in sight.

Richland County will begin accepting applications – by phone and online – at 8:30 a.m. Monday, April 5, for its Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) to help eligible residents pay rent and utility bills.
