Couples in Richland County can apply and pay for marriage licenses online, after a measure responding to health and safety concerns with COVID-19 was put in place Wednesday.

Richland County Councilman Calvin “Chip” Jackson helped give out more than 200 protective masks to senior citizens and caretakers Friday in District 9.

Richland County Council Vice Chair Dalhi Myers will host a Tele-Town Hall at noon Saturday, May 2, to give residents an opportunity to get information and ask questions about Richland County’s utilities expansion project and COVID-19 response efforts.

Richland County’s Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is distributing spring vegetable, herb and wildflower seeds via mail, giving residents extra reason to spend time in their gardens while social distancing. 

Residents should expect delays in services provided by Richland County’s Register of Deeds Office as employees work to process a backlog after the office closed for several days in response to a potential COVID-19 exposure.
