Following is a statement from Richland County Council Chairman Paul Livingston in reference to local protests in wake of the death of George Floyd:

Richland County will collaborate with Prisma Health to augment a developing strategy to reopen County facilities to the public and nonessential employees, taking another major step in helping the community recover from the COVID-19 health crisis.

The Richland County Planning Commission will hold a virtual meeting Monday, June 1.

Residents again can make appointments to schedule curbside pickup of old furniture, appliances and other large objects as Richland County resumes collection of bulk items Wednesday, June 3.

At its meeting Tuesday, May 19, Richland County Council recognized National Public Works Week, honoring the work of essential service providers in local government.
