With $150,000 in funding from Richland County Government, several local community partners put forth plans to assist the more than 400 residents of Allen Benedict Court who had to vacate the apartment complex in January following a deadly gas leak.

Interim Richland County Administrator Ed Gomeau announced the appointment of Richland County employees Ashley Powell and Dr. John Thompson to fill the vacant Assistant County Administrator positions.

Richland County Council recently voted unanimously to proceed with a scaled-down version of the Richland Renaissance project, setting its focus on three priority areas: a facilities plan for government operations, an effort to enhance services in Southeast Richland and a Countywide revitalization and blight remediation strategy.
